CRD Building Consultants & Engineers is a national network of forensic engineers, building consultants, quantity surveyors, and drafting teams with the technical expertise to assist on any building, construction or engineering claim.
We provide independent advice and a multi-disciplinary approach to claims. CRD adapt our solutions to suit all manner of projects — from very demanding complex works to sensitive, individual projects with vulnerable clients.

How we help
We deliver a comprehensive post-loss technical service, shining a forensic lens across failures, damages, or defects in the building elements within residential, commercial, and industrial sites. In addition, we provide overall project management on the journey to full restoration/ reinstatement, ensuring tradespeople adhere to the highest standards.
Our team is well-versed and experienced in tendering issues, construction defects, general contractors, trade contractors and project structure. We are also adept in assisting following catastrophic weather events including cyclones, floods, fires, and earthquakes.
Our team perform field investigations, lead multi-party examinations, and document all damaged property. We research failure modes and code requirements where necessary and, together with our extensive knowledge and technical skill, we prepare recommendations for repair and/or remediation.
CRD experts regularly provide expert testimony in liability matters (either in mediation or a court room setting), talking to the cause, extent or source of damages or professional liability.

Highly qualified team
CRD’s people have formal qualifications in forensic engineering, structural engineering, quantity surveying, construction management and/ or drafting, while others are licenced builders (with waterproofing expertise).
Our services span the country. We have people based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Hobart, Gosford, Newcastle, Wollongong, Sunshine Coast and Cairns. We offer both metro and regional inspections including all parts of Tasmania, Northern Territory and the ACT.
