Navigating liability claims
More often than not, liability claims are complex requiring the skills of various experts.
In this webinar, you hear from Crawford experts across adjusting, third party administration and legal services.
They highlight issues you should be alive to, including considerations which typically arise in casualty claims (be they property or personal injury matters) as well as more commercially-focused imperatives.
Using a claim scenario case study, our Crawford experts unpack the considerations through the lens of their specific area of expertise, while also demonstrating how they work seamlessly together across the life of a claim for faster, more cost-effective client outcomes.
A tile coating specialist (insured) has been engaged to strip and recoat coping stones around a swimming pool. While the insured holds itself out as expert in selecting correct chemicals and methodology for each job, they use a chemical which, when interacting with water, forms toxic vapour that burns human lungs. The insured does not take steps to prevent draining into the pool. The chemical ‘eats’ the pool liner. What’s worse is that the homeowner's three young children end up hospitalised after swimming in the pool just a few hours later. The prognosis is that they will have respiratory health issues for life.
